Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse and leader with a passion for older persons' health to become our next Clinical Manager.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to use your management and clinical skills to lead and develop the nursing and care team. Reporting to the Enliven Manager of Elmslie House and Wanaka Retirement Village, you will be an integral member of the care home management team and will:
- Provide sound clinical leadership and education to staff
- In collaboration with the Enliven Manager, lead the team and manage resources efficiently to achieve agreed organisational and team goals, manage risks and ensure the home is running as effectively and safely as possible.
- Have oversight and involvement in the care provided for residents and promote practice standards and behaviour consistent with professional and legislative standards and the Enliven Philosophy of care.
- Have oversight of clinical trends, including monitoring, investigating and resolving events, preparation and analysis of data and implementing corrective actions.
- Deputise for the Enliven Manager in their absence and participate in the afterhours management of the home, including participating in the on-call roster.
- Participation in the internal and external audit programmes
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and implement improvements in consultation with the Enliven Manager and other relevant staff.
- Approves routine expenditure within delegated budgetary limits.
Hours: This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be required to be on the on-call roster.

About You
The ideal applicant will:
- You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate. You will have leadership experience either in aged care or a similar environment, excellent time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- A proven track record of working positively and effectively in a management and leadership role within the health and disability sector.
- Demonstrated ability to train clinical staff at all levels and to communicate clinical information to non-clinical staff.
- Skills and experience in computer systems to maximise the use of technology for improved service provision.
- A passion for working with older people and a commitment to the total wellbeing of the older people involved in our services.
- If you are trained in use of the InterRAI assessment or assessing Careerforce papers, this would be an advantage. However, training would be provided.
