The Role
You will be a key part of the team involved in the preparation and cooking of a high standard of meals for 33 residents in our care home and the community.
In this role, you will provide efficient and high-quality food service, ensuring meals are presented in an appealing and appetising manner. Responsibilities include baking, preparing cold desserts, assisting with menu preparation, meat preparation, breakfast and dining room set-up (including cleaning), and carrying out general kitchen duties.
As a Weekend Cook, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast and cooking and serving the main midday meal. As a Tea Cook, you will prepare and serve the evening meal, while also undertaking general kitchen cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Hours: This is a permanent part-time position working 22.5 hours per week, as follows.
This role is advertised as a combined Weekend Cook and Tea Cook position. If you are interested in either the Day Cook or Tea Cook shifts only, we would still love to hear from you. Please state the position you are interested in and your shift availability in your cover letter.
- Friday: 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm (Tea Cook)
- Saturday: 7:00 am – 1:30 pm (Weekend Cook) and 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm (Tea Cook)
- Sunday: 7:00 am – 1:30 pm Weekend Cook) and 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm (Tea Cook)
