Our Central Otago team are looking for a Registered Social Worker to provide generic social work support and advocacy based in our Wanaka office.
About the role
In this role you will work alongside our local multi-disciplinary team of 9 staff spread across Central Otago / Queenstown Lakes, as well as connect with our wider Family Works team across the Otago region to provide effective, quality social work services to clients and the community.
Hours: This is a permanent, part time position working 32 hours per week.
About You
- A Registered Social Worker
- Someone with sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and an understanding of working within a bi-cultural and multi-cultural framework.
- Great with interpersonal and advocacy skills and can prioritize working collaboratively.
- Understanding of the impact of social complexities and be able to use your skills and knowledge to work within a generic community social work team.
- Able to work autonomously whilst also being part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Someone with enthusiasm, energy, commitment and a good sense of humour?
