The Role
We are looking for an experienced cook who can confidently work across multiple kitchens and adapt to different meal and service requirements. This role supports six Enliven care homes across Otago, including Alexandra, Balclutha, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Mosgiel.
Our kitchens are spacious, light-filled, and offer a welcoming atmosphere with supportive staff. This role provides variety and a fantastic opportunity for learning and growth.
You will either lead our kitchen teams and meal service in our homes for older people in the absence of the Supervising Cooks or Food Service Managers or be equally happy to support as a second cook. You will be responsible for preparing tasty and well-presented food for our residents.
Tenure & Hours: This is a casual leave cover position that may have you placed at any of our Enliven Homes. Initially, you will be assigned to work 2 x 8-hour shifts at Iona Home & Hospital in Oamaru to cover a short-notice leave period.
Travel and Accommodation: You will need to be prepared to travel across the Otago region, providing holiday relief. Travel and accommodation will be discussed with the successful applicant.
